Fabio Angeoletto

Fabio Angeoletto, Brazilian biologist, holds a PhD in Ecology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Nowadays he is a professor and researcher in the Master's Degree in Geography at UFMT (Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso / Federal University of Mato Grosso, Rondonópolis campus). His research aims to understand how human factors influence the biological diversity of Brazilian cities inserted in the Cerrado Biome, a biodiversity hotspot, and how urban ecology can be applied in the conservation of urban biodiversity of those cities.

"Cities are microcosms of the evolutionary changes that are occurring on a planetary scale and thus provide a natural laboratory to advance our understanding of eco-evolutionary dynamics in a rapidly urbanizing world."
